Weird 2405FPW standby mode?

Anyone else have a 2405FPW that when your computer enters standby that the monitor flashes various colors akin to doing a dead pixel test?

I'm sure it uses a lot of power and frankly I'd rather the monitor just turn off.

This is not supposed to happen. A video card thing? Happened after installing new drivers? Always been like this? Try the other output on video card perhaps..

Always been like this, I've been through 3 different video cards with it.

7900GT, 8800GTS, and now a GTX 460

Apparently it's a "burn-in" feature that can be enabled / disabled in the factory menu. Finally turned it off, should save some money on energy bill.

Another interesting factoid, monitor has been used for 16210 hrs and 51 minutes.
