A friend has a drive that isn't powering up after a powersupply failure. There are no noises coming from the drive when he applies power. I have suggested swapping the pcb with one from a good drive of the same model so he can save his data.
Please help with a few questions :D

Does it sound likely to be the pcb?
How closely does the model of donor drive have to match the failed one, it's a 120gb.
Anyone who has done this have any advice on how best to do it?

Thanks much.
