Hello,

My friend recently purchased a 200GB drive. With some minor issues, I managed to install it, and get over the 137GB barrier....but....Only 185GBs are shwoing.....can someone explain this?

Good Bye

It's fine, the difference between the binary and decimal system, which we've all gone over before, is why it's different.

oohhh...one more question, sorry. I am getting a 250gb hdd for this older computer, and I am going to be using a pci to ata controller...will this work, or will i have a hard time getting past 137...and if i have more the one hdd on each ide cable...will it slow down like it does on most motherboard controllers?

thanks again for the fast reply
