WCG spread loading Work?

Has anyone wondered if the WCG spread loads work to projects that don't get much attention even if you set it up to only work on one project? I am only interested in the clean energey project, everything else i figure is covered by folding, but it seems like i get WU's for the other projects at a pretty even pace then all the sudden CEP work is available again?

when theres no CEP work available it automaticly sends out work for other projects from WCG.. you can manually set it to not send any other work if theres no work available for the CEP projects in your account settings on the site..

I don't think they're giving you other work because nobody is running the non-clean energy projects, they just don't have enough work for the project to keep up with all the computing power it has.
Over on the WCG forum, they mentioned that there were some problems with work units lately, so they were scaling back how much they were sending out and also recently related that the researchers were running out of room to store all the results so they'd be scaling back the rate until they got their storage issues resolved ! :O Perhaps they were counting on some spending getting approved faster than it came through.

FYI, I don't have any CEP WUs in my queue right now even though I'm signed up for it. You can, as pointed out, turn off the setting in your "My Projects" to work on other projects when there's no CEP work, but you presumably won't wind up automatically dedicating that processing power to FAH, will you ? This way you can still contribute to humanity's benefit when you're not finding a way to produce energy ... to run more boxen !

OK, correction; it was Nutritious Rice that was running out of storage, but they WERE making adjustments to the CEP WUs...
Work is being distributed for The Clean Energy Project
We have released version 6.25 of the application. This application will avoid the issues that we experienced last week. Additionally, we have worked with Harvard to identify a number of workunits that were causing troubles and have removed them from distribution. As a result, we can resume sending work for the project.

I've got one running right now.

lol just as i read this a CEP project showed up in my queue.. whats the odds.. oh well hope my cpu enjoys running a 20+ hour CEP project..

Not so fast there, monkey... More problems on CEP:
We continue to experience issues with The Clean Energy Project and therefore new work is not being sent out. Fortunately we are not experiencing any of the workunit hangs seen before so boinc clients and other projects are not affected. At this time it is recommended that users continue to run workunits which have already been downloaded. We are seeing a high number of errors with the workunits but these errors typically occur early in the run and will exit out appropriately.

Thanks,
