So my wife and I have recently picked up Stand-Up Paddleboarding as a hobby. Since we live near beautiful Lake Tahoe I thought I would take the opportunity to try and take some pics while out on the water with the boards. I am looking for a good waterproof P&S for around $250-$300 or cheaper. Does not have to have any special features or anything fancy just a good camera to take some landscape pics while out on the water. This photo from this website will give you an idea of what I am looking to do with it (actually looking at picking up one of their boards).

I'd recommend the Sony TX5. A tiny little underwater camera packed with features. If you want to take some landscapes, the TX5 does auto stitching of panoramas. It's really nice. Plus an easy to use touchscreen interface. Also takes 720p movies.

I got one a couple months ago. Highly recommended.

Thanks guys... looks like the TX5 is the one for me... Bummed about the Canon but can't have everything from one company.

Shutterbug just reviewed a number of waterproof point&shoots.
