Hey Guys. I just have a few questions about watercooling that I would like answered if possible. And if the answer is "yes" to the question, would someone be kind enough to maybe configure me a water system for about $170.

Question - Can the water cooling system be left on 24/7?

Because I run a CS server, and the server is on 24/7, is that bad for the WC system to be on 24/7?

Also, how often do I have to change the water?
 
Yes, there's no problem running a water cooled computer 24/7. As long as you do a good 24hr leak test, and keep an eye on your internals, there's nothing to worry about..
As for the system this is going in, is this going to be heavily OC'd, or just to keep things cool n quiet?
 
If you're worried about reliability, just get a reliable pump (Laing D4/D5 for high performance, Eheims for proven rliability and quiet). If you're paranoid about leaks, use Danger Den MCT-5/40 (you get a free quart with an order >$100, and should be enough for a small loop with no long tubing runs).
 
Well this is my system. I would like to OC a bit but not too much, and I want it to be quiet.

Also, being a noob, could one of you put together a not too exprensive system for me? I dont think I really need a GPU waterblock. I think once I upgrade my GPU, then I will get a waterblock for it. So I guess, ust CPU and Chipset?

You should probably look into buying a kit, Sharka or Frozen CPU is a good place to start.

Not a bad setup, but with the hydor pump, it has to be turned on/off manually (plug it in...pull the plug) unless you get a relay card which is another $30.

So here's another option or 2:

Swiftech MCW6000 cpu block $39.95
Black Ice Pro $30.99 or BIP2 $35.99
Laing D5 pump $74.99
Reservoir $17.95
Add 1 or 2 fans, 6-10ft 7/16" or 1/2" ID tubing, clamps, additives of your choice and you have a pretty nice setup for ~$200.

Another option is the D-tek Customs Flowmaster XT kit for $153 + $5 for USMA adapter (for 939/940 mounting). It has everything you need except for the water.

Or even a DD Maze4 Kit
