I want to step it up to better cooling. I ordered a chemming 601 case for starters.this case seemed to be a good choice. I need help in picking a rad. dtek pro or black ice? I want to install it in the top bay with some modding of course. how difficult would this be and some suggestions on how to secure it to the case plz. also need pump, waterblock and res suggestions for a clean and effiecent install. plz help

You want to cool the CPU only, or the GPU as well?

You can get a setup from Danger Den for not too much money (I just priced out a good CPU loop for under $220US), and it's great stuff as well. I wouldn't bother with a BIX at all. The Dtek rad is a heater core from a car, and works very well. Danger Den also offers heater cores with their kits.

in my old case, i had my rad. mounted on top...its not hard, just get a drill bit that is the size of the circle in a 120mm fan, and find a drill bit that makes a hole big enough for the screw, and ur set. i don't have any pics, i think they got deleted from the server, but if i do find some, i'll show you. as for the other stuff, i'd get:

- DangerDen TDX
- DD 12v pump
- DD 120mm Heatercore
- DD HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) Reservoir
- Tygon/Clearflex (either..i'd probly go with tygon)
- 120mm fan
- metal hose clamps

that should do it...my bad if i forgot anything...you could always replace the res. with a T-line (recommended)...i have the dtek version, and its a PITA with a bayres, so a T might be best...just my $.02

well, i had it backwards from how i really wanted it, but you should have it pulling (i think)

Just FYI, that circle is exactly the radius of a CD, so to make the hole just trace around a CD and cut that out.

thanks for the input. been doing some more research and what do you think about the silverprop hl for a gpu cooler?

that block looks very nice...but $79?? i mean, sure, it looks like it would perform well, but i haven't seen any tests, so I'm not sure yet...so I would go with the Maze4 from DangerDen, or maybe the PolarFLO...

I love mine, and wouldn't use anything else. It's a VERY well built block, and incredibly sexy. Must be seen in person to truly appreciate it. :D
I'm not sure if it will fit your 6800 though. :(

edit: My HL is keeping my oc'd 9800Pro(XT) at 4C above water temps right now.

 I got mine for $70 CDN. There's barely anything on this block on the net, but it's been tested to be on par with the Maze4. Same goes for the SL block.

I dont know if it would work on the 6800 or not but it looks sweet and very few people seem to know anything about it. what about the g4 or g5 storm cpu blocks?

if you can find one, go for it

look at the MC50 or whatever, with the mounting adapter, it fits the 6800...
