Watercooling Idea

Ok, here's the deal. People were telling me that running a watercooling configuration with x2 Bonnevilles, 1 for my CPU, and 1 for my GPU wouldn't work out very good.

I came up with a new plan. What if I get x2 Bonnevilles with either x2 Sunon's or x2 Evercool's on each and ran 1 for my CPU and 1 for my GPU + NB on intirely different loops, with a Mag3 and a res for each. Would it work good? Opinions?

Can you say OVERKILL? :eek:

Of course it would work, if you can manage to get everything hooked up. I'm assuming you'll be using an external pump/rad box, right?

Definately. :) I'll be running everything except the waterblocks (obiously :p) in an external box that's going to sit below my actual computer. I'm going to run it off of an old 420w PSU I have, and either run x2 Evercool or x2 120x120x38mm Sunon on each Boneville.

I want to sqeeze every last bit out of this processor/GPU. I'm confident that I can get at least 2.8GHz stable on the processor and around 500/600 on the GPU, give or take.

i run my AMD XP 1800+, enermax 465 PSU, NB, ATI 9800 PRO, and 2x 80GB WD drives in one loop with a WEAK assed chinese 60gph pump. with one bonnevile HC with 2x80mm fans @ low speed (and they are not even attached to the core, they are case intakes with the HC as the only case exaust) the highest temps are barely 80F at the end of the loop b4 it goes through the HC(hotest point)...... yes, 2x bonniviles are way overkill unless you running pelts ;)

water cooling loop: pump/res-->gf3 gpu(now 9800 pro)-->2x 80GB HD(raid 0)-->PSU-->northbridge-->XP1800+ -->RAD-->pump res

Yeah, but at the same time you're probably not pumping nearly as much voltage on the CPU or chipset as I will, plus I want it as close to ambient as possible.
