Watercooling advice

Ok as like many people i'm not getting interested with watercooling. I have about £100 to spend and as a lot of people say the kits from thermaltake arent great i think i should buy all the parts and put them together. I dont have a clue where to start though. I would like to buy all the parts from either www.overclock.co.uk www.overclockers.co.uk or www.scan.co.uk any other websites are good as long as they are UK sites.

Any advice will be appreciated, Thanks

you are better off with a Corsair nautilus then anything from thermaltake regarding WC

However, I would prefer that you get the parts yourself.
You can visit a site called Danger Den and get all that you need from there.
Add up your total and figure out how much you need to spend.

For example:
-Maze 4
-DD CPU WB ( don't know the name)
-BIX II or 240 GTS
-10 plastic tube fasteners aka clips
-10' Tygon tube...you can't go cheap on the tubing
-DD fill port for your T line unless you want to go res
-d5 pump is the only way to go
-swiftech rad box to install your rad on the read of your case if you don't have room on the -inside.
-distilled water from your local store...1 gallon

side note:
I went with a Storm which is around $80 and much more expensive then most WBs

Whats the basics of a water cooling system? is it just the cpu block, radiator, pump, resevoir and tubing? Thats all i need right now and i can add a VGA block later. Im on a tight budget with this :s
Would it be better for me to just go with an air heatsink? Like the BT or Vapochill Micro Extreme

yup, thats the basic and even the res is optional. you can get away with just using a t-line for fill n bleed

^^although I would get a Y connector vs a T connector.

Make sure you get a dual radiator that requires 2 fans vs. a radiator that only requires 1. When you upgrade your system to add a VGA Water Block you will need to spend more money on a dual rad instead of just buying a WB. Trust me, I bought a single rad and regreted it the day I wanted to add another WB! It cost me more money to get a more expensive radiator + another WB had I just purchase a dual radiator in the first place

And, having a dual radiator is better to have anyway even though you only use 1 fan for it.
