Is there something i could put in the loop that will read the temps of the water, while not restricting the flow too much?

I've got the dangerden poly res, what could i put in there to get the temps?

I just put together a DD system and was wondering the same thing. I have a bunch of temp probes laying around. I'm thinking that you just cant use any probe though. It'll have to be water-proof, otherwise it might short out.

best idea yet...
but yea i guess i'll just start looking around for water proof probes.

A probe won't do you much good without a temp gauge, do you have one of those? Expect to spend some money for a good one & a probe. If you want a quick, non-permanent solution, just use a thermometer that would normally be used for taking peoples' temperatures.

Check this out.. I bought one of these for my Koolance Exos system and it worked great. But it's for 8mm tubing. The probe actually unscrews from that fitting and could be installed into a res fairly easily. It even has its own o-ring on it already.

I was going to suggest that, but most people that read these forums want more performance than what you'll get with small diameter tubing.

linger, I believe that the inline water temp probe works with the matrix 222, I've emailed them to find out. I will post here if/when I get an answer. that's the first 1/2 in temp probe that I've seen.

I like the way they look, plus you can find them for under 100 bucks. the software that comes with it allows you to do some really good coding too.

i might just have to pick one up, this would be a nice addition to my watercooling.
