I have been wondering about this. Do you guys watch most videos that you have on your computer in full screen or keep them at the size they play originally? I can't seem to decide which is better since full screen is easier to see, but sometimes quality is lost.

depends on the resolution, if it's more than 500 pixels wide, then I usually full-size it

I make it full screen and if its to blurry or whatever for me then i take a few steps back and see if it still looks terrible. Then i size it down a little bit and then see how that works. If that don't work i delete it cause i can't stand watcing videos anything less than full.

You can always knock down the res on your screen before opening the video. A standard TV only runs about 640pixels wide anyway (about 320 with VHS) so knocking your res down still makes for quite acceptable quality. What I notice more than resolution is pixalation and artifacting due to compression, and that doesn't go away regardless of whether you run at full screen or not.

EDIT: Assuming you have a CRT. With LCD, its better not to change your res.
