:D yup once the cooler weather starts coming my Q9450 gets more OC same with the 260....may end up trying to squeeze more than 4.0 out of my Thuban, but i'm not overly hopeful about that.

nice to know your watching for me ahead of you though ;)

i'm pulling 14.7k ppd on the Thuban now

you are gettin ga break, my dedicated box is hammered.....6701 on a stock 9450 = bad......6600 on the 9800GTX not as bad(2k shaders FTW), but still lower points..

Usually I am not that competitive, but W.F made a remark on IRC, about when he would see me on his rear view. Well, I just could not let that one go, without at least trying. ;)

i've had the 260 goin gsince i started ;) just had it in "sleeper mode" because of heat.......thouhg its only at a modest 1512 shaders, i need to upp those (now if only i could get it to 2k like my 9800GTX *Drools*)

How friggin annoying is this. Trying to catch W.Feather and getting 384 points from a $400 5870 card.

I had a $300 offer for the card before I started folding...:mad: If I had known, that card would have been long gone for a pair of 460s.

EDIT: Screw it, I am going on Craiglist and see what I can get for the 5870.... this is way too frustrating.
 
just a Q6600 with dual GTS-250's...
not even running 4 cores. (actually I forgot and left it on single core, it is running smp3 now

ME thinks someone is helping on some days.
If I can get my parent's computer up, it will be a Dual core E7500 and a GTS250.
 
ill give you $100 for it ;)

wait ill just get $130 so you can go straight to a 460 :)

What is going rate for a 5870. I'm interested. I run a 4890 in MW@H and Collatz conjecture and I can mix card generations in the boinc client. A 5870 would boost my output immensely. 6000 series are just around the corner, though. hmmm.
 
as of now it is probably ~250-300 for a used 5870(maybe higher), but once the 6000 series is released, the market for used 5870's will be flooded, dropping prices

And lucky for me I got a gaming laptop, so I can leave my gaming box crunching away.

This is my last chance to catch up to you... I think it is going to be very hard for me to keep up... But we will see.

EDIT: In case you are wondering my I dont fold with my lappy, well 2 words ATI GPU
 
well lucky bastard, i havent folded for a while ;) , that and my lappy has crappy intel integrated blah blah blah.....

anyhow 9450 is up again...hopeing to OC the bloody thing soon, and the 1090T is plowing away at a comfy 12k ppd min ;)......now to talk my friend into selling his 260 early.... ;)
