So my order from danger den shipped out today consisting of:
tdx block, 6800 block, maze4 chipset block, d4 pump, double heatercore, shroud and globe 120mm fans
system specs:
a64 3500, msi neo2 plat, 1gb ballistix, 6800gt, raptor, barracude 7200.7, enermax 470w psu, silverstone tj04 case

basically i plan to fabricate a bottom mount enclosure to house the radiator, pump, and a seperate power supply. here's the general plan:

so my questions are:
1. i was thinking about making a small enclosure for the pump within the housing and putting in some pretty heavy duty sound insulation (its like 1.5inchs thick). if anyone else has insulated around their pump did it affect water temperature much?
2. would adding a pair of exhaust fans with a duct opposite the heatercore increase the noise level much (orignally planned to drill small vent holes) ?
3. does the tubing layout look alright, can you think of a better way to route it?

2 - Make big holes for the fans and use a grill, anything else will increase noise/decrease air flow
3 - It's more important to reduce tubing length than to put components in a certain order for most systems, and your layout looks alright. Do note that it's easier to draw than to implement though.

I dont know which way the water is flowing in that, but make sure you have the water go to the CPU first, then probably the GPU, then the chipset. You want it to go to the hottest component (the CPU) first. Other than that looks good.

i was planning on hole+grill on the side with the fans on it, and small holes on the other side, that is if i dont use exhaust fans

im no stranger to fabrication, but drawing that was a pain in the ass lol ^^ it took forever for me to learn how to bend a pipe in Rhinoceros.

which way does the d4 pump flow? in the top and out the side or the other way, i overlooked this? although either way i can route it fine.

The D4 flows from the front and out the top. I would just install some mesh on the side of the case with the fans. It worked out good for mine.

Dont say anything if you dont know the physics behind it:

Water moves through the loop so fast that it doesnt really change temperature between heat sources and heat sinks. Routing the tubes the most convienent way is usually best, but to prevent cavitation, either a T line or a resevior should come immediately before the inlet of the pump. I know this because I killed 2 via 1300s before I turned the tubing to the res around and got a mag 3.

The radiator before the pump should do the trick.

The mesh is a steel security window mesh, black powder coated from a local window company here in St Louis. They have it made special for them. What I got is left overs from window installs. I'll have to ask my buddy if there is any other way to get it.

got everything in today but the pump. case comes tomorrow then i can start putting it together, yatta! i like how that looks biohazard so im gonna see if i can find some mesh i could use. thanks for the idea ^^
