before volt moding my ram i could run a 228 FSB 1:1 @ 2.85v running 2.5-3-3-7 timings(stock timings). now i can run a 236 FSB 1:1 @ 3.2v running 2.5-3-3-7. i've tried relaxing the timings but can't go higher.

are those good results? i have OCZ performance ram w/ copper heat spreaders, they don't feel that much warmer than before. could i apply more voltage or what?
 
wow! from 2.85 to 3.2 V! that is a significant increment compared to the MHZ you're getting...
 
you can try more volts, but if you think about it, you didn't get that much of a gain from the amount of voltage you increased.

Are they 3200 modules?

I have some Geil Ultra-Platinum that will do about 285fsb @ 3.1v 2.5-4-4-7. Not the best timings, but at least it goes that fast.
 
i jsut took it off, its bearly an increase at all. i got only about 2% increase in benchmarks and NOTHING noticable in performance. i think i'll just use the pot i bought for it for the droopd mod.

i played with the timings for an hour last night and didn't get anywhere at all. not very happy with the results at all.

the stock 2.85 in the bios reads out at 2.92 on the meter, but i would expect that going from 2.9 to 3.2 would make a difference, no tighter timings, no faster speeds. :( :confused: :mad:

edit: they are pc3200 and it is the rig in the sig.

My Geil timings wouldn't tighten up with more voltage either. They would run at a higher fsb, but I couldn't tighten the timings. Even at "stock" speed I couldn't tighten the timings with more volts. That kinda pissed me off, but I can't really do anything about it since they operate as advertised. And I especially won't complain if they can do 285fsb @ 2.5-4-4-7 @ 3.1v when a LOT of other dimms that can go that high are using Cas3 (not that the .5 makes a helluva difference)
