I'm returning my Acer AS1810T notebook, which I currently have my X25-m 80GB G1 in.
My primary VMware system, my W500, currently has a 160GB G2 and 160GB Hitachi 7200rpm drive. I'm looking at swapping out the 160/7200 for the 80/G1. I can live within the confines of 80GB with my VMware machines, but I'm curious as to how VMware does on SSDs. The last time I tried it was with a JMicron-controlled OCZ Core v1, and it SUCKED.
Has anyone here put VMware machines on their G1, and if so, how did it perform compared to standard drives? (I'd assume better, but my V1 was generally better than drives, but balked at that)
