I'm running it on Ubuntu 12.04 and using it to virtualize WHS2011 and some other OS's.

My problem is that I can't figure out how to get the VOS to see my raid controller and use it. I tried connecting it via SCSI but that just freezes up the VOS and won't let it do anything. I tried connecting to it via HDD but that is limited to 2TB and my raid is larger than that.

PS the reason for Virtualizing WHS2011 is that WHS2011 like Win 7 won't use my nic which works fine in Ubuntu. Intel Pro/1000 MT Dual Port.

PSS How can I get VMware Player to startup in root without using the terminal?
