Can you create a virtualize environment so that Flash can target only this VM environment, then you make sure it flies on every implementation ?

Last time I read, VMware is preparing hypervisor for mobile environment...

I don't know whether this is viable or not.. help Adobe...

What exactly are you looking for? By definition, each VM is a separate environment.

I think some issues suggested by developers

1. CPU architecture is difficult
2. we have many different generations, same generation, different capabilities
3. Then we have different architectures, x86 ARM, MIPS, misc. In addition, we now have GPU optimization, which carries the same issues with another dimension

So some claim this makes it very difficult for the Flash implementations where you need to finetune for every possible situations.

A. It appears that VMWare has been addressing these issues for some times. Perhaps VMWare can suggest technical insight?

B. Else if cannot, perhaps an extremely lightweight runtime environment (virtual-machine ala Java/Parrot) where Flash is targeted at this, then VMWare utiltize its expertise to make sure the implementations flies on every alternative architectures. Obviously you are still not able to run this on Apple. Application virtualization ?

I honestly think Suggestion B is rather unlikely, Option A ?

This post is purely a normal inquiry from observer. It bears no real-world implication. I feel a need to declare every minor detail clearly so as not to trigger wrong impression.

I think any effort about Flash should be redirected towards moving to open standards such as HTML5.

I'd like to think that Flash is about to be the new RealPlayer. But I'm not holding my breath...

Ok, I still can't make sense of what you're saying. It seems that English is not your first language. Can you explain exactly what you want VMware (a hypervisor company) to do about Flash (a pseudo graphical scripting language)? Being that flash is an interpreted language (as far as I know), the runtime engine handles the actual CPU/ring 0 calculations (if any exist) therefore you code to the abstraction layer, not the actual hardware (part of what makes flash suck Are you trying to use an actual hypervisor to make the engine simpler to code, by creating a standard architecture for the base?

Moreover, why would VMware want to do anything with optimizing flash for environments that it does not have a hypervisor? And if it does have a hypervisor, is that not already optimized enough?

Adobe has announced Flash Player for Mobile no more for Android 4.1 or newer

1. VMware has a virtual environment for Android SmartPhone last I read on some web news
2. For those insisting on having Flash Player for Mobile on Android, maybe they can run inside virtualize Android ecosystem ???
3. Ala similar to Windows-style Application Virtualization also is it possible???

4. Obviously it would be good to have an official agreement from Adobe I suppose?

5. There are now dual-core or quad-core Smartphone with ample RAM so it appears hardware should be sufficient ?

1. Yes.
2. Sure, I guess - I don't know the exact compatibility details for MVP as to source/destination requirements, and it's primarily for business phones, but theoretically you could have flash installed in the virtualized android instance.
3. We don't virtualize the apps, we virtualize the actual android os.
