I changed from a dynamic to a static IP address, and my VM won't work anymore (I think...) The VM runs, it's resource usage registers in the Task Manager, however, it doesn't register any network access, for example, to download the folding client from Stanford when it starts up initially.

I also cannot monitor the VM in either Fahmon, Fahspy, or in my browser anymore. I'm going to leave the VM on all night to see if it actually does send back and download work in the stats, since I can't monitor its work progress in any other way at the moment.

What does the dynamic --> static IP have to do with this? And what do I do to fix this?

Did you change the IP's on each system or reserve IP's for each system in the router?

I changed it on each system one time and forget to add the DNS / Gateway info.
(Seems Silly I know, but I have done it before)

Verify each system has LAN & WAN access ...

I found it is much easier to set the IPs on the router side ...
 
Yeah, I added in the DNS and gateway after I realized that I couldn't browse the internet...

I get this though, when the VM is booting:

Basically the bit after the first "sending discover. . ."

Before, it would go something like:

Now it adds in this line:

EDIT: Ok, I've just checked Kakaostats, and my VM is sending (and presumably receiving work), since 1920 points was added just this update. So it does work, and there is an internet connection...but why can I not get my computer to access it? I remember a period when I wasn't able to access any of the computers on my home network (though that was on dynamic IP) even though the other computers could all see every other computer perfectly fine, could this be something similar?
