I am considering replacing my ATI 9700 Pro. I am interested in getting a card that I can use to capture or input video off of m sony digital camcorder. Will say A sapphire X800 Pro VIVO allow me to do that?

If you have a sony digital camcorder, it should have firewire output, in which I would just get a firewire pci card, and get 1000x the quality.
 
Thanks for the info. I started looking at my camera a little better and realized I have firewire on it and my MB allready has a firewire port. I just need some decent software and I should be good to go. Now I have to decide between a 6800 GT or another ATI.... :D
