For those of you with the 3850 or 3870, does the card stay at the higher clock settings constantly because of the Aero interface constantly? Or does it still shift from lower clock in OS and higher clock in game?
 
I have the Sapphire 2900 Pro and it does switch back and forth between 2d and 3d. If you already have the card, I recommend running the latest version of rivatuner 2.06 in the background with the monitor open to see if they switch properly.

I'm running Vista x64 and the card stays on the 2d settings while in Windows
 
Thanks guys, I think I'll upgrade to vista then...

I've got my own reasons, for you vista haters out there.
