Vista Display Question

Everything seemed fine yesterday, but when I rebooted today, the screen was very bright at start up, but it becomes dim after I log in. The brightness settings on the monitor itself have not been changed -- I"m guessing it's something in Power Options or another feature in Control Panel.

I really can't remember changing anything last night, and I'm sure it was very bright when I shutdown before going to bed. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I just realized my cursor is very bright, but the rest of the display is dim. Any suggestions?

hmm weird. do you have latest drivers for everything?
