Vista copy to another Pc

how do i copy ALL content from a vista pc to another vista pc in my house via a router please. its windows vista ultimate 32 bit both pc's.

all? as in, including Windows files?

I won't ask why....

you would need to boot into a live cd on the machine you want to copy to, since Windows files can't be overwritten when they're in use (ie, Windows booted up)

You can't copy programs from one computer to another. Sure, you can copy and paste the files but that doesn't mean it is installed or will run. Basically, back up your user folder and copy that, then dump it on the new computer, reinstall all the programs and there you go.

The only way to do this is with a drive cloning program, and then you need to consider drivers, OS licenses, etc. You can't do exactly what you are asking.

You can't copy programs from one computer to another.

I've been using software called PCMover that does move (most) programs from system to system.
