I have a whole bunch of PATA drives and since I didn't have enough PATA ports I have been using a combination of this and a few of these connected to the onboard stuff on my a8n32-sli deluxe but promise doesn't have drivers for Vista and I tried doing the compatibility mode and it didn't work :(

So now I want to buy a 2-4 port SATA controller which is vista compatible to run vista :) Anyone know one?

I would guess that most every Silicon Image controller will be compatible with Vista.

it is not about being compatible - it is about people making drivers for it more so.

for my vista beta 2 i used the Xp 64bit nforce 4 SATA raid driver and it worked fine.
