I just installed vista on another PC. I also updated it to sp1.
The drivers were the ones included with Vista. I manually set the IP. and no matter what I do, it won't identify my billion 7401vgpm. I've:
1. rebooted the PC and billion several times
2. disable/enable the network connection
3. reset/set the IP settings
to no avail.
The PC I'm using now which also uses vista (though not sp1) has no problems with network connectivity. I checked the IP settings for the network card and the only difference between this one and the other PC is the IP address used.
something weird is happening though: this PC can see the other PC even though the other PC has problems identifying the network. on the PC where I'm having a problem, I cannot even ping the billion.
any ideas? thanks
