Can somebody please post here if they successfully managed to install either x32 or x64 version of Vista on a NF4 AMD mobo with 9k jumbo packets enabled and successfully able to share/copy/move files between computers in a gigabit LAN.
x32 - I cant do crap! I can map network drives but when I try to access the drives through explorer, I get time outs all the time.
x64 - I am able to access files and folders as long as I keep the default frames of 1514. Any value other than that I cant even access the computers in the LAN.
BTW, all my nics are gigabit nics with jumbo frames support and so is the netgear gigabit switch. I am able to do all of this in XP without any problems.
Thanks for the input!
