Hey all, I need help with the dreaded DVI output problem on the VX2025wm's. So I recently tried to connect my Nintendo Wii through a component to VGA adapter. The picture came up, but because of I'm assuming the Sync On Green, everything was well... green! Anyone know how to turn that off btw? Anyways, the bigger problem is of course, the fact that now my monitor refuses to switch to DVI. Which is weird because while the Wii was connected, it switched fine. If anything the analog was giving me trouble! Anyway I've looked online, and the unplugging and restarting thing doesn't work for me. When I tried DVI recover, it said something about not being able to connect to DCC or whatever. Does anyone know how to make DVI Recover work? Or does anyone have any EDID settings that would work too? Any help would be appreciated as I really wanna get my DVI working again.

Unplug the DVI and VGA cable from the monitor, and then unplug the power cable from the monitor. Press the power button a few times to use up any remaining juice, and wait a minute or so before plugging the monitor back in and reconnecting the DVI to your PC.

I've seen this work on a couple of VX2025WMs that refused to leave sleep mode when connected via DVI.

Bummer... looks like it may be time to contact Viewsonic for an RMA... :(

I also have the same problem and I will also be contacting Viewsonic about an RMA. I tried everything and even some bat-shit voodoo with no sucess. Does anyone know if Viewsonic will cross ship?

I did contact them. But dammit, now I gotta pay for shipping for what should be a small problem like this? If this was a known problem why was this thing even released?

Is there any way to fix this thing without using DVI Recover? That program doesn't work for ATI cards I think? I got the Viewsonic EDID Editor, can I edit it and change stuff through that?

Did you ask them to cross ship you a working model? Or at least for them to pay for freight? This freaking thing is a known problem and they won't even honor shipping at least? One final question, how much would it cost you to ship it to them?
