I am in the market for any CRT, to be primarily used for gaming and watching videos. Unfortunately it seems that CRT's just arent available any more and the only one I can get my hands on is the viewsonic G90f+. I am unable to find any reviews of it......does anyone around here own this monitor or have anything positive to say about it. God I hate it that you cant buy CRTs anymore :(

If you want a crt for gaming, then the G90 series will not disappoint you. I run a G90F and I love it. Newegg has them for $219.

Personally i would stay away from that monitor, i bought one awhile back and returned it after a few days. The text quality was absolutely piss poor, extremely blurred except for a small portion in the middle of the screen. Not to mention it wasn't flat, very noticeable rounding in the corners. Only good aspect was the color.

You'd be much better off buying a used/refurb Trinitron or Diamondtron, they just can't be beat.

Deetox,

Maybe you had a bad monitor, mine exibits none of the issues your talking about. I had An E90FB which was just total ass, but I sent it back for this one, which does the job and then some.

Ya OP, If you don't mind a used crt then you could hit up your local craigslist. You could pick up two or three good used 21" crt's for the same price as a new 19".

A few months ago i scored an almost new 21" P1130 trinitron for $75, and i'm currently considering another "almost new" sony E540 21" for around the same price.

G'luck either way

When it comes to CRTs Viewsonic is one of the three companies I trust, the other two being Sony and Mitsubishi. Viewsonic makes a quality product, no reason to distrust them as a brand.
