This issue deals with the desktop in my sig. After doing windows update and installing SP2, I am having great difficultly running certain applications. What happens is when I go to load a program, I get a white or green screen that strobes very fast. This happens especially when trying to load CS4 or Zune software. I am then forced to reboot the machine. :( :(

I fixed the zune issue by putting -gdi in the target location... but this disables visual features in Zune software.

My operating system is Windows Ultimate x64...
My video card is an eVga Geforce 7900GT CO with stock clocks. The driver is the current one: 186.18

I think that driver is the cause of my problems... if it is or is not, how can I fix the issue?

Thanks!!!

I think it could be a problem with the card itself. Does this happen with any other 3D application?

Try rolling back to an older driver. I'm currently running a driver for my 280 from last year because it just works with everything.
Could also be a bad card, many many 7900's were bad or went bad.

Well I can l play back HD video on Youtube with no issues... in EVEREST, when I went and viewed the info on the video card and clicked on OPENGL, I had the same issue.

The car was working fine before the driver update so I'm suspecting it's the driver, not the hardware...

Thoughts and where can I get a different driver?

Which driver would I need specifically? I'm not familiar with gpu drivers... NVIDIA's website only shows the current up to date driver which I already have installed, no previous versions...

Alright I was able to roll back to the previous driver I was using which is sorta old, but very stable.
NVIDIA ForceWare 96.86.

Thanks guys... luckily this wasn't a hardware issue, only a driver issue.
