ok, a friend of mine just built a new system with an AMD64 3500+ with a gig of ram and all he has left to get is a video card (pci-e) and he was wanting some opinions on this one that he saw on newegg. Planning on mostly gaming on it no need for 3d rendering or photoshop or anything like that.

looks pretty good to me. what are your thoughts?

Thats a great card for the price and overclocks madly. But if you dont have a budget or just want to go a step up get a Nvidia 7800gt-------7800gtx256mb-------- or if you want the top 7800gtx 512mb.
