Video card replacement cooling?

I have two separate video cards - a GeForce2 GTS and an original GeForce3 - where the fans on the OEM heatsinks have failed. I was thinking about getting something like this to replace the OEM heatsinks. Maybe use the active cooler on one card and the passive piece on the other.

My question is this - Does anyone know how hot each of these cards tend to run (or if there is a way to tell without something like an infrared thermometer)? They seem to be fine with just the passive cooling right now, but I don't want them to fail in the near future because they are running hot. Thanks in advance.

50 to 60c on a non oc'd car would be fine.

add a "case phan", or do a getho mod :D

Ive just bought a Zalman gpu cooler with heatpipe, I was amazed how darn warm my gpu core actually could get :D
1200cm ^2 was very warm after running ati tool for a hour.

get a vantec iceberq 4 or a vga silencer for the geforce 3, and im pretty sure the iceberq 4 will fit on a geforce 2.
