Video Card Question.

Ok, i am in the process of building an PC, and i have an question about video cards...
I want to know is there any big difference between the new x800's and the 9800x/t... performace wise, i dont do alot of heavy gaming, most i play is Rise of Nations or Farcry
i use my pc's for cisco related stuff... so what should, but if i want to play something that requires the performace i want to have it.

if your not a heavy gamer, then why buy x800? get the 9800PRO or 6600 GT.

X800XT is about 2x or more faster than a 9800xt performance wise. I wouldn't even bother with an X800 Pro unless its a VIVO (you can softmod those to 16 pipelines).

basically makes the image better. e.g. makes the edge smoother.

if you run farcry, you will need at least 9800 PRO but it won't do AA nor AS with decent frame rates. you will need a 6800 GT to run farcry with 4xAA and 8xAS with decent framerates.
