Video Card OC. Uh oh

I increased my Geforce2 GTS to 228mhz core speed and 400 mhz memory and ran IE for a while:rolleyes: (after benchmarking of course) Buuut nothing I do can go smoothly so white/black lines start appearing on the screen. I checked the fan, which was grinding to a halt under its own weight. It was pretty dirty so I cleaned it affectionately, this however did not stop the lopsided haphazard attempt it's making at cooling my card. Is there anything I can do to get it to run properly?

(I've lowered the speeds to 220 mhz and 364mhz, core/clock respectively and am yet to really test it.)

If your heatsink is as bad as you describe it, then get a new GPUHS.

I know nothing about nVidia cards.. never owned one.

haha yeah maybe it is... what I would do is jsut buy a pretty standard case fan and aim it at your gfx card.... may be a pain in the ass if you move it depending on how well you attatch it in there, but it works.. I OC'd my TI4200 and got it to be colder under load than normal...
