About a month ago, I came home from work and found that my 6800Ultra OC had stopped working. All I was seeing on the screen were just vertical lines. I put it into my second PC and it was doing the same thing. I called up BFGs tech support and got an RMA on the card. About a week later, I received the new card, put it into the machine and had everything working fine.
The next day, the same thing happened as my original card, nothing but vertical lines. I called up tech support again (July 7th), they had me check the power supply (Antec NeoPower 480) and everything was fine. They concluded that I had just received a bad card and they would have one shipped out to me w/o having me send in my card. The guy I spoke to told me he would talk to his super on Fri and should have it approved to ship the card out by Monday. I called them Monday afternoon to find out weather or not it was shipped and to get a tracking number. They told me they are having problems with their database and that the card is probably on its way and they will not be able to give me a tracking number. I got an automated email from them stating the card was shipped on the 13th (3 days after they said it was probably on its way). I ended up getting the card on the 19th (they left it sitting on my porch without getting a signature).
That evening I put the card into the PC and heard a loud grinding sound coming from the card fan. I know I could have messed with the card and gotten the sound to go away but figured if I mess with the card and something happens later on they could technically tell me that since Ive messed with the card the warranty is voided. So I called them back up and told them what was going on. They informed me that they probably sent me the wrong card and they would have a supervisor call me on Wednesday the 20th. I ended up just calling them up the next day and spoke to a supervisor who tried telling me that the noise I was hearing was a result of the card not getting enough power. After I informed him his techs looked into that problem and concluded it wasnt the power supply, he told me he would need me to send the card in so they could send out a new card. I told him I wasnt going to do that and they were going to have to overnight a card to me because I was sick and tired of having to wait as long as I had already (Its been about 1 month). He agreed to send a card out overnight to my work address since the last time UPS delivered it, it was just left on my front porch.
On Thursday the 21st, I called them to find out if it was shipped and to get a tracking number, they told me it was shipped and they are having problems with getting tracking numbers from their shipper and I should be getting it today. Called them a number of times on Friday and was again told it should have gone out and I should get it Friday and they do not have a tracking number. On Saturday July 23, 2005 I called and was told that there was a mix up and the card wasnt sent out. The person told me that unfortunately there is no one in the warehouse and I would have to wait until Monday. I asked him why they had been lying to me since Thursday when I was told the card was shipped overnight. He was not able to give me a straight answer. The supervisor apologized for the mix up and told me he was speaking to someone in the warehouse and they would not be able to send out a card until Monday. I told him that I didnt believe him since the person I spoke to him earlier told me they didnt have anyone in the warehouse until Monday.
So, what I ask you is: How upset should I be?
