Video card issue

I have 5 video cards running on my mining rig.

When I go to Device Manager, on one of the video cards, it says
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

I've tried uninstalling and activating it again but the same problem occurs.

When I go to cgminer, that video card doesn't show up, only 4 of them does.

What seems to be the problem?

What videocard? What brand, etc? Are all the cards the same brand? All the cards using the same driver? What is your power configuration for those cards? What is the slot configuration? Have you already tried swapping slots and/or cables?

You've really given us hardly any useful info to be able to provide you with any kind of help.

Asus p8z77-v mobo
4gb ram
2 x 850 corsair psu
5 x sapphire 280x dual-x
all cards using the same driver
using risers

Try removing one card, and re-boot. If no error shown, add the card back and boot again and see if that works. You can try to remove one by one, until faulty card found and try it in one card setup.

Alternatively. Remove all the cards, leave one. Boot and test, add the second one boot and test. Follow the same procedure until all cards install.

Lastly, no of these fixes, try to re-install the OS and add 1 card at a time

Code 43 is indicative of a hardware failure. The offending card could very well be dead.

Almost certainly a dead card. As someone said above test individually until the dead card is found.

Found out it was probably the motherboard/

What connectors will I need if I get this motherboard:

ASRock H81 Pro BTC LGA 1150

for my sapphire 280x video cards dual-x

You'll need a new CPU since it is a different socket than the one you're using now. You'll also need more PCI-E 1x to 16x riser cables since it only has one PCI-E 16x slot. Looks like your other hardware should work fine with that board.

This is what I need to get? What are the molex connectors for and where does it go?
The powered riser cables are generally for lower powered GPUs that do not require additional power. The molex connector will provide additional power over the PCI-E bus transition when using these cables if the card requires it. Since the 280X already requires additional power, you do not need to use powered riser cables. More information concerning riser cables and their use can be found at the following link:

If you have any additional questions or concerns, it's probably better to ask in the Mining & Cryptocurrency subforum.
