my desktop goes checkered after a couple hours and games usually freeze immediately, upon closer examinaiton i can tell that the heatsink is charred quite a bit, i know that i used to play around with my gpu clocks back in the day and i'm wondering if maybe the clock is buggered or if this is a common thing for video cards after awhile (its a 9700 pro and i've had it for about three/four years). either way it's getting hot so im wondering if maybe i could just clock it a bit lower or maybe just get a new cooling solution? or maybe there is some other way to detect what is going wrong? any help is greatly appreciated, thx
