Sorry to sound dumb, just that I never kept up with the video card scene that much.

I'm currently upgrading from a ELSA Nvidia Quadro2 Pro to a Sapphire 9800 Pro. I see a lot of people with aftermarket cooling for their cards. Does it void warranty if I changed the cooling to something like the Artic Cooling VGA Silencer?

Also, how well does this perform and is it one of the best cooling solutions today?

VGA Silencer performs quite well for me. Most ppl with after market cooling are ppl who Overclock their video cards. I beleive removing your stock Cooling solution Does Void the warranty.

If your not planning on Overclocking your video card, then don't worry about getting different cooling. The stock cooling is most of the time enough for minor overclocking.

Good Luck.

Yes, removing the stock cooler for any reason does void the warranty, but if you're going to overclock the card, do you really care about voiding the warranty anyway? If you do plan on overclocking, I would get some ramsinks to go along with it (ufokillerz has some nice ramsinks in the FS forum). Otherwise, stick with the stock cooling as it is more than adequate for day to day usage.
