What card should my friend get right now for under 400 bux that will play half life 2 very well?

His system right now is p4 2.4 running at 3.132Mhz and his ram is mushkin 3500 dual sticks 512MB running at 2,2,2,5 and the system bus is 1040Mhz. (Abit IC7-G)

Not only will he be able to see actual benches under HL2, but cards will have dropped in price a bit by then.
