what card pairs well with an amd 2400+ processor and is AGP?

as long as i can play at 1028/768 resolution i will be happy

is the 6600 gt good enough, is the x800 gto or 6800 gts overkill

if it helps, i'll be upgrading from a 9700 pro

I'd say the 6600gt would be a good match. you don't have to worry about bottle-necking and 1024 should be fine.

A 6600GT or a 6800 vanilla would be a good choice i guess or even a 9800Pro and save yourself some cash.

PNY 6600GT from newegg for 100...best PERIOD. It's even got a undocumented Dual Link DVI port for the Apple 30 incher

thanks for the help guys, i just have a few more questions...

if i get a vanilla 6800 and manage to unlock the extra pipes, would it be bottlenecked by my system and therefore i would be better off with a 6600gt?

i found a eVGA 6600gt at ncix for 180CAD, is there any other place in Canada where i would be able to get a 6600gt cheaper or a 6800nu for under 200CAD?
