I have done some looking and can't seem to find a VGA to DVI cable... just some VGA to DVI boxes that cost over $200. My computer has a VGA out video card and my LCD has a DVI input (VGA is being used by 360) .... can anyone help?

Get a VGA-DVI adaptor. They usually come with video cards...you could probably find them on ebay for really cheap.

that is a dvi to vga connector, most dvi output carries both digital and analog signals and can use either...... vga connector only carries the analog signal..so you would have to
convert analog to digital signal using an electronic box.

Get a vga switch (non physical manual switch) should cost around 10 to 20 U$D

While the adapter will save you a few bucks, there is some loss of quality going this route. If you have a really good CRT or something, try one of these instead:

Actually sethk, that's what I was implying too, a dvi to vga cable...I just bought one for $7 shipped on eBay, there is loss when you use the adapter

he/she has a lcd monitor with dvi input...he want vga to dvi converter... there are no cheap adapter/alternative for that

IMO, if your videocard is lacking a DVI port, it's probably not even a great gaming card (most everything past & including Radeon 9xxx's and Nvidia FXs came with DVI ports), grab a cheap GF7300 or X1600 off newegg or here on the forums. I think you'll be a lot happier that way.

So your saying this can make a vga signal into a DVI? can some further explain i thought i was going to need to buy somethign with 2 DVi but can i just use one of these cableS?

I think this is the best suggestion. Anything that could convert from VGA to DVI would probably cost just as much as a 7600GTS, like this:
