Damn. I need to createa blog just so I can have some shot at getting that title. Not that I could, but it might be worth a shot :>
 
Last year at the vExpert party I was surprised by how many were NOT bloggers. In my completely unscientific anecdotal study it seems it's trending that way, but people that help run VMUGs were the vast majority last year. So blogging isn't required. Looking at the application this year they are trying to focus more on other things than blogging as well.
 
It changed this year. Last year I got it out of the blue because some people at work nominated me. This year they asked that you also nominate yourself and fill out some information on your community contributions. Things like blogs, forums, presentations, VMUGs, etc.
 
Congrats..you definately bring contributions here and on your blog, and i'm sure there is a lot I don't see, which is greatly appreciated!
