Hey I got my room down to 40F(5C) and my temps reflected this.

So anyways if you want a cold computer get your room cold

(Using Air Cooling)

i got my room temp to about 15C last night and the cpu was about 29C w/ 1.45v :D
indeed, cool room temps does mean cool comps

Or you could get one of these :)

or this :)

Incidentally, I wonder how much you would have to worry about condensation with either of these units.

Thats awsome, I don't think my power supply could handle it though, it's only 480Watt Antec True PSU II stable with my 7900GTs and cpu overclocked to 2.8Ghz@1.45volts, but does it have an external way to power it?

Not sure, but they have it running with a 430W PSU for 299.99. Haven't gotten a chance to ask what type of PSU u would need for this thing with SLI rig. It gets damn hot where I live so this look pretty good to me as well. Plus, less of an electric bill, rather than running my AC upstairs and downstairs all day long :)

yea,I might consider getting it but my room never gets hotter then 75F due to turning airconditioning on then, still my cpu only idles at around 15F hotter then ambient so I'm reasonably happy.

(Wonder how cold I could get it though)

Ive brought an 8k BTU airconditioner to a LAN party once, had insulated ducting from the cases PSU exhaust fan, and another one into the intake. Tried some overclocking on my K7-500 and my Geforce2 ultra, cant remember how far I pushed it, but I ended up with lots of crap on my screen and had to give up.

Im also considering rebuilding that setup but for a rackmount closet, not sure though.

Just FYI, that TEC cooler really doesnt do crap. 50ish watts, heh my hard drives could overwhelm that thing. Not to mention, how many times is the air in your PC case cycled through? Probably tens of times per minute. TEC on the cpu works well, I wouldnt mind having a 320W Peltier or two, to compliment my 130w-ers.

There is no point to cooling your room off to even cold but tolerable temperature. If you are a gamer, I guarantee you can't play worth a shit when you are cold.

just get on some heavy duty sweaters and sweats + socks...a sweatshirt + pants + socks do fine for me in 16C temp

Hmmm, havn't tried playing when my room was cold, it nows like 60F when in my room, I think thats a pretty decent temperature, wasn't even cold when it was 40F, just wore a longsleve shirt and pants, nothing unusual.

(But now my cpu temp is 46C cause I'm Duel priming and its at 2.6Ghz@1.3volts).

Then you're just not dressed warm enough. I almost never had the heat on in the trailer in the winter, but I usually wear socks and a sweater and I'm fine.

AC is on 67 for my room, and my pc temps are 24 right now. It maxes out at 27 during gaming, unless I turn all fans down to low--where it goes a bit over 30 sometimes

you guys are crazy ;)

i would say those aircon things are mostly marketing crap ... very loud on snow mode

go water people
