ok so i've been around these forums a lot, rarely posting as you can see but reading lots....but anyway, my brother just bought a nice 1700+ and an epox 8rda+ rev1.1 motherboard to get a good overclock from to replace his ancient 600mhz comp...and the oc has been going well, right now i'm prime stable at 190x12.5=2385 (no vdd mod yet), but that's not the point...when i set this up and began to overclock, i wanted to make sure i got motherboard monitor so that i could monitor the voltages and psu rails since i know my personal setup with a 2500+ and 8rda+ rev 2.0 undervolts a decent amount, especially under load....then, being inspired by priming my brother's system, i decided to run prime on mine again just to make sure it was indeed stable...which i find now it isn't, because after maybe 10 mins with prime i get a complete blue screen and it obviously freezes up...on my board, i have the Vcore set to 1.825 in bios, but underload in prime95 it can drop to as low as 1.73, never going higher than 1.78 or so!!!!! that is BAD!...my brothers system however never fluctates it's core voltage and even overvolts a little!!!....now i'm wondering if this has to do with my PSU, as i have an Antec True430 but the 12v rail is alwasy around ~11.6 v where as his POS generic 450w psu's 12v rail is around 12.3-12.4 even under load...i saw the mod for the Antec power supplies and i'm eager to run out to radioshack and get stuff to mod the 12v sense line and crank it up to 12.3 or so volts, but will this help my stability issues? is this common with the 8rda+ rev 2.0 boards and not rev 1.1?....i do have a lot more things connected to my PSU than he does so maybe that could be causing it, but i also have my mofsets and voltage regulator chip cooled by heatsinks whereas he doesn't...i'm tempted to just steal his mobo or something, this is rediculous heh....any help would be greatly appreciated!!

I use motherboard monitor to measure the Vcore voltage and i know it's accurate cause when the voltage gets low it crashes...i also have a BG micro VFD so it displays the temps and voltages so that i can see them easily at all times...i was thinking though, the epox motherboard doesn't display the 3.3v rail's voltage, it reads the vdimm instead, so i don't know if it's really low or not, it could be, so could that affect things?...guess i should get a multimeter out and check those readings...still, anyone else have similar undervolting/fluctuation problems with this board?

mine does, it reads a little low on the 12v and 5v though... my 5v verified with a multimeter at 5.01 reads at 4.89 or so, 12v reads at 11.7x although it is around 11.9x

Never had a stability issue though, i'm running a trueblue480
