VB Code question

Disclaimer - I did a search, read the Rules, and read the FAQ and still came up with nothing

I went to make a signature file using VB code and i noticed on my User CP that it says VB Code is OFF. Is this unique to me or is this for all of [H]ardForum? Do i need to pass X amount of posts before I can make use of the VB code?
 
You can use vb code in posts, but vb code is disabled in sigs. It is like this to keep the forum looking lean and clean.
