How much memory does UT2004 take up in your rig?

I have 1GB and UT2004, after about 1 1/2 hour of gaming with it, takes up about 600MB+.

Interesting question, I'll have to check that when I get home. I have a GB of Ram and Ram hasn't been a problem. I don't understand why the amount of time played would matter though because unless there is a memory leak it shouldn't keep increasing.

About that much. It's a BIG program, and it's not a leak, it just caches more in memory as it goes. I'm upgrading to a gb for that program :p

It will take UP TO that amount. 1 GB is the sweet spot for gaming right now. Anything over that (for gaming) is overkill.

I use 1 GB of memory in my system, with no pagefile, and I am fine....so anything over 1 GB isn't needed (for gaming).

Just bought it on Tuesday but didnt check the ram...I have a gig and no problems. I think the RAM may go up if it keeps the maps in ram after you play them, just a thought.

Ya I have 512, and load times are high, and after a long time of gaming when I quit, windows runs like crap. I'm headed to Frys tonight to upgrade to 1gb dual channel :)

you may want to check to see if you have preload maps checked if so, uncheck it found that helped a great deal with load times also.

Not preload maps, preload skins, and unless he turned it off, it's on. it's on be default if you have 512+mb.
