Using swiftech GTX CPU block on GPU?

Well after I upgrade to a Heatkiller in the near future, the old GTX block will be kinda outdated that if I sell it I won't expect to get much out of it. I already bought it used off of someone else so that would make it a "used then used again" type of sale.

However if I modified the 775 bracket, can I make it fit a 5870 card? As far as the ram goes, I can buy the full ram block cover from swiftech for like 30 bucks that is made specifically for the reference design 5870. The full ram cover block covers most of the card except a gap specially made to fit a GPU waterblock.

Has anyone tried putting a CPU block over a GPU block assuming bracket mounting isn't a problem?
