hi all, i'd like to use a projector for my entertainment needs, ie use it for TV, movies and video games...how would i go about setting it up? particularly the tv part, and sound?

well, youve generally got a choice of two input types - vga or svideo/composite.

If you want to run vga from a computer, youll need a tvcard on the computer, and dvd drive etc.

if you just want to use svideo/composite/component, for tv youll need a tv tuner (VCR is probably the cheapest way to get one). and probably some kind of switcher so you can hook up a game system. Any audio a projector has would be crappy. Youd just run audio through a home theater receiver. possibly video too, for the switching capability.
