Using Peltier as drink cooler?

[SarverSystems]

Has anyone done this?

I'd like to make a plexi stand, with a peltier mounted to it, and use it like a coaster. Set you drink on it to keep it cool.

It's been done.

Don't forget you'll get quite a bit of condensation, so you'll have to set up a way to deal with the condensate.

Sharper Image (or was it Brookstone) is now selling a peltier cooler beverage holder for your car.
