Using an older printer in win 7 has shadowing.

I am using an old HP DeskJet 932C under windows 7 Pro x64. Drivers were automatically downloaded and everything seems to print except I get shadows under everything. This is annoying if it is small print or bar codes as it makes it nearly unreadable. I have yet to find a setting to remove the shadowing even after searching quite a few times.

Basically trying to use up the ink cartridges (2x Black 1xColor) in this printer before I upgrade to a cheap HP DeskJet 1050 NIB I picked up around X-Mas. I'll probably hook up to 1050 soon to see if it does the same effect but figured I'd ask here first.
