Used Vantec Tornado = extra noise?

I'm about to purchase one that has been used for about a year with a fan controller, will it be noticeably noisier than a brand new tornado? I've used a 80mm Tornado for the last 6months+ and haven't noticed any increase noise, but maybe because it was such a gradual increase?
 
Unless the fan is wearing out or is very dirty I don't see why there would be extra noise with a used fan..

That's the thing, I don't know if it's worn out or not until I get it. How long does it usually take to 'wear out' a 92mm Tornado /w fan controller?

Thats a good question but one that no one can honestly answer. with out sounding like a smart ass thats like asking how long will you or I live. Ya just dont know. You could get it and have it go bad in 5 minutes or in 5 years. Same can be said for anything made by human hands NEW or OLD.
