Just preparing for a new phone next year with Type C and picking out a PCIe type C card. Apparently, there are different types, watt rating and speeds of C cables out there.

It seems like there are no 10gbps cables over 3.3ft. I need a 6ft one. They may do that because the speed rating needs the shorter cable. Apparently 5gbps cables come in 6ft.

So, would a new 2017 type c phone support 10gbps transferring files from it to a PC, or would it only transfer at 5gbps or less?

Apparently this article says that a google employee tested all the amazon cables and leaves comments:

List of Benson Leung's reviewed cables:

Chances are near 100% any phone with type-c will be USB 2.0 speeds. To be more specific we'll need to know which phone. So just get a good Type-A to type-C cable and call it good.
